Information about another person
When you add another person's birth details or life context, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to provide and use that information. Do not add unnecessary confidential information or data you are not authorized to use.
3. How information may be used
- Calculate, display, save, restore, and personalize charts, Life Maps, Focus, Together, and other requested features.
- Answer questions using the selected person's calculated context and save answers when the product provides that capability.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect account ownership, prevent abuse, and investigate security events.
- Reuse stored calculated artifacts when the relevant baseline and calculation version remain unchanged.
- Operate, troubleshoot, monitor, test, and improve reliability, usability, accessibility, translation, and performance.
- Understand aggregate product usage where optional analytics are enabled with the applicable consent configuration.
- Respond to support, privacy, security, and account requests.
- Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.
4. AI processing and service providers
Kaaladarshi may use third-party infrastructure, authentication, AI, monitoring, analytics, communications, and security providers to operate the service. Information is shared with providers only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant service function and subject to applicable contractual and technical controls.
When AI is used to explain or answer a question, the service may provide the AI provider with the question and selected calculated or contextual information needed to generate the response. The exact providers, models, hosting locations, and technical architecture may change as Kaaladarshi evolves.
Kaaladarshi is designed so deterministic chart calculation is separate from AI-generated explanation. See Responsible AI for more.
6. Advertising, sale, and profiling
Kaaladarshi does not sell private birth details, Life Map content, questions, answers, or linked-person information as advertising inventory. We do not design the service to make employment, credit, insurance, housing, medical-treatment, or similarly consequential eligibility decisions about users based on Jyotish data.
If future business models introduce advertising, sponsorship, providers, or commerce, this policy may be updated before materially different data practices are introduced.
7. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
Essential browser technologies may support authentication, session continuity, security, preferences, and request routing. Optional analytics may measure page views, feature use, language selection, performance, and aggregate engagement where enabled under the applicable consent model.
Kaaladarshi is designed not to send private question text, generated answer text, exact birth details, Life Map payloads, saved life events, or linked-person details as Google Analytics event content. See the Cookie Policy.
8. Retention and stored artifacts
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain continuity, secure accounts, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Different categories may have different retention periods.
- Account and saved content may remain while the account is active or until eligible data is deleted.
- Calculated artifacts may remain while they correspond to a valid baseline/version or until they are superseded, expired, or deleted.
- Security and diagnostic records may be retained for limited periods appropriate to their purpose.
- Backups may retain restricted copies until normal backup rotation completes.
- Some records may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legal claims.
9. Security and confidentiality
Kaaladarshi uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect service data, including encrypted network transport, authentication and authorization controls, managed secrets, access minimization, monitoring, and privacy-conscious logging practices appropriate to the deployment environment.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their accounts and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. See Security for additional information.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about disclosures. Requests may require reasonable identity verification and may be limited where permitted by law.
Language and other preferences can be changed through the product where supported. Optional analytics consent can be changed through available consent controls. For account or data deletion, see Data Deletion.
11. Children and family profiles
Kaaladarshi is not directed to children under 13, and users must meet the minimum age required to use online services in their jurisdiction. Do not add a child's sensitive information unless you have lawful authority and a legitimate reason to do so.
Creating a profile for another person does not create an account for that person or give you authority over their information outside Kaaladarshi.
12. International processing
Kaaladarshi and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the one where you live. Laws may differ across jurisdictions. Where required, Kaaladarshi may use contractual, technical, or organizational transfer safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
The service, providers, laws, and data practices may evolve. This policy may be updated to reflect those changes. Material changes may be communicated through the service, email, or another reasonable channel as appropriate.
Continued use after an updated policy becomes effective may be governed by the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
14. Privacy contact
Privacy questions, rights requests, or concerns can be submitted through the Contact page or by emailing privacy@kaaladarshi.com. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary sensitive information.
